The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:
Police arrest five on warrants
On April 4, 2019 Guelph Police arrested five people wanted on warrants.
A 35-year-old Guelph man wanted fail to appear.
A 39-year-old Guelph man wanted fail to re-attend court.
A 33-year-old Guelph man wanted for breach of recognizance. A subsequent search discovered a loaded syringe containing methamphetamine. He was further charged with possession of a controlled substance.
A 20-year-old Guelph man wanted mischief under and breach of probation. A subsequent search discovered a quantity of crystal meth. He was further charged with possession of a controlled substance.
A 42-year-old Guelph man wanted fail to attend court and breach of probation. Arrested by H.E.A.T. (High Enforcement Action Team).
Student walkout/protest
On April 4, 2019 hundreds of Guelph students walked out of school and went to City Hall. Guelph Police are happy to report that the students conducted themselves in a peaceful manner as they expressed their views and there were no issues.

Over the past 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service dealt with 244 calls for service.
