Drug arrests
On February 26, 2016 the Guelph Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit commenced an investigation into heroin trafficking within the city of Guelph.
As a result of the investigation and observations made, an Eramosa Road residence was identified to be a residence in which heroin was being trafficked out of. During the investigation five individuals were arrested leaving and all were found to be in possession of controlled substances: heroin, methamphetamine, oxycodone and crack cocaine.
As a result of the observations and arrests made, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was applied for and granted for the Eramosa Road residence. A quantity of cannabis resin and crack cocaine were also located.
A 51-year-old Guelph male, a 30-year-old Guelph male, a 59-year-old Guelph female, a 36-year-old Guelph female and a 20-year-old Guelph female were all held in custody pending a bail hearing on February 26, 2016.
