Collision, harassment, calls for service

The following news releases were issued by the Guelph police Service:

On Jan. 11, 2018 at approximately 4:15 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Edinburgh Road and Speedvale Avenue where there was a report of a multi-vehicle collision. There were three vehicles involved. Two vehicles collided within the intersection, causing one of the vehicles to lose control and slam into a third vehicle. There were no significant injuries from this incident. As a result of the investigation, a Guelph woman has been charged with turn, not in safety, under the Highway Traffic Act.

On Jan. 8, 2018, Guelph police initiated an investigation into allegations of a youth being harassed by another youth. As a result of this investigation, on Jan. 11, 2018 a 16-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with criminal harassment. Due to the ages of the victim and suspect in this matter, no further details will be provided at this time.

In the last 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service dealt with 239 calls for service.
