Assault investigation, break and enters, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

The Guelph Police Service previously reported that on Jan. 1, 2018 police were called to an address on Ferguson Street, where there was a report of a disturbance. As a result of the subsequent investigation, one male was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Investigation revealed that a third individual was injured as a result of the physical altercation. On Jan. 14, 2018 police learned that the injury to this third individual were serious in nature.

On Jan. 15, 2018 two males, a 34-year-old Guelph male and a 40-year-old Guelph male, were charged with assault cause bodily harm. Both were given a Feb. 16, 2018 court date.

On Jan. 18, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a Marilyn Drive residential building to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the laundry facility sometime overnight.

On Jan. 18, 2018, the Guelph Police went to MacDonell Street residential building to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered a secured area sometime overnight and stole a bicycle.
