In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 231 calls for service

The following information was issued today by the GuelphPolice Service:

Fraud arrest
On June 21, 2018, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Guelph Police were called to a business in the south end in regard to a possible fraud in progress. Police arrived on scene and spoke with a female. After speaking with the female, they learned of her true identity.

As a result, Cheritta Ricketts, a 25-year-old Brampton women, was charged with false pretences and utter a forged document. She is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 3, 2018.
