In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 229 calls for service

The following information was issued this morning by the Guelph Police Service:

Warrant person - arrest
On June 28, 2018 at approximately 4:35 p.m. while on routine patrol, Guelph Police observed a female that was known to be wanted for theft under $5,000 and disobey court order in the area of Macdonell Street and Carden Street. Police approached the female and she was arrested. The female was transported to the Guelph Police Station where police conducted a search and located what is believed to be a controlled substance. As a result, the female was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The 37-year-old Guelph female was held for bail hearing.
