Guelph Police Service dealt with 259 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Disturbance downtown
On March 15, 2019 at 2:37 a.m., Guelph Police were dealing with an incident in the downtown area. As police were attempting to arrest a man for being intoxicated in a public place, a female that was with him tried to prevent the arrest. She was subsequently arrested.

The 25-year-old female from Toronto has been charged with obstruct police. She will appear in court on April 30, 2019.

Break and enter
On March 14, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a Woolwich Street residence for the report of a break and enter. The home which is being renovated was entered sometime overnight. Numerous tools are reported as being stolen.
