Man steals hanging planter On May 5, 2016 at 11:14 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Zehrs on Eramosa Road after receiving the report that a male had stolen a hanging planter.

On May 5, 2016 at 11:14 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Zehrs on Eramosa Road after receiving the report that a male had stolen a hanging planter. Police were able to locate the man a short distance away and he was arrested.

Michael Buonamici, 25 years old of Guelph has been charged with theft under $5,000. He will appear in court on June 14, 2016.

Break and enter

On May 5, 2016, the Guelph Police went to an Inverness Drive building to investigate a break and enter. Sometime overnight, the laundry room was entered and the laundry machines had their coin supplies stolen.

Break and enter

On May 5, 2016 at 5:45 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Kara Lee Court residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the unlocked garage and stole a set of keys and a bicycle.

Property damage

On May 5, 2016 the Guelph Police went to a Southgate Drive business to investigate property damage. The culprit(s) damaged equipment and smashed windows to work trailers sometime overnight.

Theft from cars

On May 5, 2016 the Guelph Police received two reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Troy Crescent and York Road.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible. In the area of Woodlawn Road West at Michener Road from 8:05 a.m. - 10:52 a.m. - 16 tickets issued. 

In the area of Watson Parkway North at Grange Road from 11:05 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. - 3 tickets issued.

In the area of Wellington Street West at Waterloo Avenue from 2:10 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. - 10 tickets issued. 

In the area of Victoria Road North from 6:05 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - 4 tickets issued.
