On November 10, 2016 at 12:45 p.m., the Guelph Police responded to a disturbance at a local high school. Police apprehended and transported a student that was involved to hospital.

On Nov. 10, 2016 at 12:45 p.m., the Guelph Police responded to a disturbance at a local high school. Police apprehended and transported a student that was involved to hospital. Initial reports indicated that there were two males involved but investigation revealed that there was only one.

Suspicious person

On Nov. 10, 2016 at 8:38 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the Exhibition Street area for the report of a man going through cars and into yards. The male was then seen trying to get into a Dublin Street business. Police located him coming out from behind this business and he was arrested. The subsequent search discovered a small quantity of Marihuana.

The 20-year-old Guelph man has been charged with trespass by night, attempt break and enter, attempt theft, four counts of breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Break and enter

On Nov. 10, 2016 at 11:33 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Woolwich Street business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered through an unlocked door sometime overnight and stole a small amount of money.

On Nov. 10, 2016 at 1:28 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Balmoral Drive residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) gained access at the rear of the home sometime in the two hours prior to the call to police. A theft of cash and jewellery is reported.

On Nov. 10, 2016 at 1:51 p.m., the Guelph Police went to an Emma Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) gained access at the rear of the home sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.  A theft of cash and a laptop is reported.

On Nov. 10, 2016 at 7:09 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Beaver Meadow Drive residence to investigate a break and enter. A neighbour alerted the resident after two males entered the garage and stole bikes. In total, three bikes are reported stolen.

On Nov. 11, 2016 at 3:10 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Wellington Street East condo building to investigate a break and enter. Point of entry is unknown but the culprit(s) set off a fire extinguisher causing damage. No theft is reported.

On Nov. 11, 2016 at 6:22 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Woodlawn Road East condo building to investigate a break and enter. A male suspect broke into the laundry room and was last seen heading towards Woolwich Street. No damage or theft is reported.

He is described as wearing a black hoodie, black pants and white runners.
