Guelph Police responded to 209 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Theft of wallet turns into credit card fraud
Some time on the evening of Nov. 8, 2019, an adult female noticed her wallet was missing somewhere near the intersection of Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue West in the City of Guelph.

On Nov. 11, 2019, she noticed a suspicious charge on her credit card.

The wallet is described as a brown velvet clutch, oval in shape.

Multiple license plates stolen
Some time between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, 2019, the license plates were stolen off a vehicle parked at a business located near the intersection of Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue East in the City of Guelph.

On Nov. 14, 2019, it was reported to the Guelph Police Service that the owner of motor vehicle noticed on Nov. 1, 2019, that her rear license plate was missing. It is uncertain exactly when or where the plate was taken.

Multiple thefts from motor vehicles
Some time overnight on Nov. 12, 2019, a vehicle parked at residence located near the downtown area of the City of Guelph was entered. Multiple items were taken.

Some time during the day on Nov. 13, 2019, a vehicle parked at business located near the Downey Road and Laird Road intersection in the City of Guelph was entered. Multiple items were taken.
