Stolen vehicles and stolen bank cards

At approximately 1:42 a.m. today, officers were investigating a blue Chevy Silverado that was seen with a lone male inside at an Eramosa Road parking lot when it was learned that the vehicle had been previously reported as stolen to the OPP in Eden Mills.

The male was taken into custody and found to be in possession of numerous bank cards that belonged to other people.

The 29-year-old Guelph man is charged with a total of 18 offences that include theft over $5000.00, possession of stolen property and breach of 3 different judicial release orders.  He was held in custody and will appear in bail court later today as well.

At approximately 12:20 p.m. on Sept. 21st, City of Guelph by-law officers alerted police to an unoccupied white 2015 Nissan Versa parked on Cole Road. That vehicle had been reported to police as stolen on Sept. 14 from a Cardigan Street address.

It was later that day when police located the vehicle in an Applewood Crescent and a passenger fled on foot and the driver fled in the vehicle.
