Guelph police report that a downtown residential garage has been broken into for the second time in a month.

Officers were called to an address on Neeve Street Tuesday morning. A male advised the detached garage had been entered after a lock was cut off. Stereo equipment was reported stolen.

The same garage was entered in late October. At that time two bicycles and a chainsaw were reported stolen. The bikes were later recovered at a downtown apartment building and returned to the owner. It is not known if the two incidents are related.

Anyone with information about the break and enter is asked to call Const. Dallas Baker at 519-824-1212, ext. 7217, email him at [email protected], leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
