GO transit driver assaulted

As a result of this assault the driver sustained facial injuries that were more than minor and required medical attention

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 12, a male and female boarded a GO Transit bus at the downtown transit hub and were advised by the driver of the bus that their fare was improper. The driver was then spat on and struck in the face by the two as they left the bus. As a result of this assault the driver sustained facial injuries that were more than minor and required medical attention.

The two suspects were located on another GO Transit bus in the city and apprehended by police.

A 19-year-old male from Brampton is charged with assault causing bodily harm and was held in custody to appear in bail court today.  A 17-year-old female from Brampton is charged with assault and will appear in court at a later date.
