Guelph Police confirm that the pedestrian struck in this incident has died. More information will be made available in the morning.
The road has since been reopened.

At 6pm Guelph Police were called to the intersection of Gordon Street and Poppy Drive, where there was a report of a serious collision involving a pedestrian. As a result of this collision, Gordon Street is closed between Clair Road and Maltby Road. This closure is expected to remain in effect for several hours while police conduct the investigation.
