Gordon Street punching, spitting incident ends in charges

Early this morning at 1:49 a.m., Guelph Police responded outside a Gordon Street restaurant for an intoxicated male who was harassing staff and customers.

The male walked over to two females sitting in their car and began yelling at them through the driver’s window. The male then began punching the driver’s door window and windshield, then spat on the driver’s door window.

The female driver was also assaulted by the male who ran off when she defended herself. She did not receive any injuries that required medical attention.

Police located the 21-year-old male in Royal City Park and arrested him. Ryan Hannah is charged with assault and will appear in Provincial Court on Tuesday, Apr. 18, 2017.
