On Feb. 16, 2020 at 4:20 p.m., members of the Guelph Police Service were dispatched to a residence located near the intersection of Paisley Road and Silvercreek Parkway North in the City of Guelph in regards to two adult male housemates fighting.
Investigation revealed that an argument between the males escalated and became physical with a 58-year-old male [allegedly] being struck in the head with a guitar. The other male was subsequently arrested.
A 42-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
• Assault with a weapon
• Breach probation
He will appear in court on Feb. 18.
Please note that the male victim did not require medical attention.
