Guelph man accused of car theft found with crystal meth

On April 2, 2019, Guelph Police observed a male on a bike in the area of Conroy Crescent and College Avenue that was wanted on charges. Police arrested the man at 8:34 a.m. without incident. Subsequent to his arrest, a quantity of crystal meth was located.

Charges are related to investigations by BEAT into two stolen cars from March 28, 2019 as well as a break and enter that occurred on Harcourt Drive on Aug. 7, 2018 and a theft occurrence from U of G property on April 1, 2019.

The 26-year-old Guelph man has been charged with two counts of theft of motor vehicle, theft under, possession of stolen property, break and enter, three counts of breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance. He has been held pending a bail hearing.
