Guelph man accused of pulling knife during argument over sports

On April 21, 2019 at 7:33 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a drinking establishment on Victoria Road South for the report of a fight where one man had a knife. The involved parties had been drinking and became involved in an argument while watching sports. One man (allegedly) pulled out a folding knife, opened it and held it towards the other man. No one was injured but the man with the knife was arrested.

The 50-year-old Guelph man has been charged with assault with a weapon and possess a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He will appear in court June 4, 2019.
