Guelph man approached about 'meth', police lay trafficking charge

Man approached to buy “meth”

Just before midnight on Jan. 31, police were contacted by a concerned citizen about a man that approached him in the area of Gordon and Fountain Street to buy ‘meth’.

After receiving a description of the male, police searched the area and were able to locate that suspect a short distance away and arrest him.

Charged with possession of what is believed to be methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and weapons dangerous to the public peace is 23-year-old Peter Debreczeni, of Guelph.

He was later released and is to appear before the court on Mar. 14, 2017.
