Guelph man arrested after paramedic injured

On May 14, 2019, the Guelph Police and Guelph Wellington Paramedics went to Clair Road East to assist a man that was (allegedly) intoxicated, had fallen, and hit his head. Paramedics were transporting the man to hospital when (it is alleged that) he became aggressive and grabbed one of them causing an injury. At that point, police had to assist with the transport. The man was treated for his injury at hospital and then arrested.

The 49-year-old Guelph man has been charged with assault. He will appear in court on June 25, 2019.
