Guelph man arrested after reports of early morning 'prowler'

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On Nov. 13, 2020 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a prowler in the area of Cross Creek Boulevard in Guelph-Eramosa Township.  

It was reported that a suspicious person appeared to be checking doors of vehicles parked in driveways. Police responded and arrested a suspect in the area.  

Matthew Kochan, 48 years old, of Guelph has been charged with:

  • Trespassing at night. 

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice-Guelph on Dec. 15, 2020 to answer to the charge.
