Guelph man charged with impaired after driving to report crash to police

On Oct. 8, 2019 at approximately 1:04 p.m., a male drove to the Collision Reporting Centre to report a crash on a previous day. Police spoke to the male at the Collision Reporting Centre and allegedly detected the strong odour of an alcoholic beverage. The male provided a sample of his breath into the roadside screening device, which he failed.

The 64-year-old Guelph male was charged with operating while impaired – blood alcohol concentration.
