Guelph man clocked at more than 50 km/h over the limit

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON - On Thursday March 14, 2019, at approximately 1 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic and conducting speed enforcement on Wellington Road 7 near Ponsonby, Ontario. 

The officer observed a black sedan travelling northbound at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h.

Rajan Singh Kundi, 18-years-old of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 1, 2019. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
