On Oct. 17, 2019 members of the Guelph Police Internet Child Exploitation unit along with the Technological Crimes Unit, Waterloo Regional Police Technical Crimes unit, Uniform Officers and members of the Guelph Police HEAT team, attended to a residence located in the south end of Guelph to execute a search warrant.
During the execution of the warrant, evidence was found and a 31-year-old Guelph male who resides at the residence was arrested and charged with the following child pornography offences:
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Making Child Pornography Available for Distribution
- Accessing Child Pornography
The accused was subsequently released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Dec. 6, 2019.
