Guelph man faces impaired driving

Accused stopped by another motorist, police say

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Sept. 26, 2020, at approximately 9:45 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Wellington Road 29 that was stopped by another motorist.

Police attended the location and spoke with the driver and determined that their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and they were placed under arrest. The driver was transported to a local OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

Graham Manley, 35 years old, of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation - 80 Plus (mg of alcohol per 100 mL of blood) contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph on Oct. 30, 2020.
