On Aug. 16, 2019, members of the Guelph Police Internet Child Exploitation unit along with the Technological Crimes unit, Waterloo Regional Police Technical Crimes unit, uniform officers and members of the Guelph Police HEAT team attended to a residence located in the south end of Guelph to execute a search warrant.
During the search warrant, evidence was found and a 34-year-old male of Guelph was arrested and charged with child pornography offences.
Below are the offences he was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of child pornography
- Making child pornography available for distribution
- Accessing child pornography
The accused was subsequently released with conditions before the officer in charge of the Guelph Police Service and a court date in October.
