On July 10, 2018, members of the Guelph Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Technological Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on a single family dwelling in the east end of Guelph.
A variety of computer systems and digital devices were seized as a result of the warrant. Further investigation into these items resulted in the arrest of Steve Labrie, a 46-year-old Guelph male on July 12, 2018.
Labrie was charged with accessing child pornography, distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography. Labrie is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 28, 2018.
