Guelph man tries to sell stolen tools on Kijiji, police say

Sometime between Nov. 23 and 26, 2018, a break and enter occurred to a business on Massey Road where approximately $2,000-$3,000 worth of tools were stolen. A couple of days later, the victim noticed the tools being advertised on Kijiji and contacted police.

Through investigation, Guelph Police identified the responsible party and a search warrant was written for a residence on June Avenue. As a result of the search warrant, police were able to recover approximately $2,000 of the stolen tools.

On Dec. 5, Cameron Meyers, a 30-year-old Guelph male was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime.

Meyers is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 18, 2019.
