Guelph police intervene before pre-arranged brawl with 20 youths

A Guelph youth faces weapons charges after a disturbance Saturday evening.

Just before 6 p.m. members of the Guelph Police Service attended the area of Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North, where approximately 20 youths had gathered for a pre-arranged fight. One of the youths pulled a knife and brandished it towards another youth. No physical injuries were reported.

A 16-year-old is charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.
