A Guelph female who was caught driving Monday morning with four times the legal limit of alcohol in her system faces charges, allege Guelph police.
At approximately 10:35 a.m. Guelph police were contacted by a witness who observed the female to be unsteady on her feet before getting in a motor vehicle and driving away.
Officers located the female standing outside her vehicle in a parking lot near Dawson Road and Willow Road. She had a strong odour of alcoholic beverage on her breath and acknowledged she had been driving.
She was arrested and transported to the police station for testing.
A 26-year-old Guelph female is charged with impaired driving and impaired driving – blood alcohol concentration. She will appear in a Guelph court June 8. Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
