Guelph woman accused of fleeing crash scene, impaired driving

Two others face impaired driving charges in unrelated incidents

On March 23, 2019 at 1:25 a.m., Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle on Woolwich Street. The male driver was given a demand to a road side test with an approved device. He failed to produce a suitable sample and he was arrested. He was transported to the Guelph Police station where he again failed to provide a suitable sample of his breath.

The 35-year-old Guelph man has been charged with two counts of fail to comply with demand and operation of a conveyance while impaired. He will appear in court on April 9, 2019.

On March 24, 2019 at approximately 8:06 p.m., Guelph Police were called to the area of Queen Street and Eramosa Road for the report of a motor vehicle that had struck two parked vehicles and then left the area. A witness assisted police by providing information that lead police to locating the driver. The female driver was found to be impaired by alcohol and she was arrested.

The 28-year-old Guelph female has been charged with operation of a conveyance while impaired, operation while impaired – 80 plus and fail to stop after accident. She will appear in court on April 9, 2019.

On March 25, 2019 at 2 a.m., Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle on York Road after clocking it travelling at 80km/hr in a 50/km hr zone. The male driver was given a road side test with an approved device. A fail was indicated and he was arrested.

The 47-year-old Guelph man has been charged with operation while impaired – 80 plus as well as speeding under the Highway Traffic Act. He will appear in court on April 9, 2019.
