Guelph woman charged with impaired driving

On Jan. 16, 2020 at 9:49 p.m., a security guard and a cashier employed at a business located near the intersection Scottsdale Drive and Stone Road West in the City of Guelph observed an [allegedly] intoxicated adult female inside the store. Before they could confront her in the parking lot, they observed her drive away and contacted the Guelph Police Service.

At 10 p.m., police observed the vehicle pull up to a residence located near the intersection of Edinburgh Road South and Kortright Road West in the City of Guelph. Police spoke with the female and she was subsequently arrested.

A 35-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:
    •    Operation while impaired
    •    Operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration
    •    Class G1 driver - unaccompanied by qualified driver
    •    Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

She will appear in court on Feb. 4, 2020.
