Tuesday 7:20 p.m., Guelph police were called to the area of Gordon Street and Wellington Street East, where a citizen was reporting an erratic driver.
The vehicle in question was located by police and the driver spoken to.
As a result of the subsequent investigation, a 39-year-old Guelph man was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a vehicle.
It is alleged the male consumed over twice the amount of the legal limit.
