A Guelph man faces impaired driving charges after he was caught drinking while having his oil changed Tuesday morning.
Police were called approximately 10:30 a.m. to a business on Speedvale Avenue West. Staff noted a man was drinking alcohol while waiting in his vehicle for service.
Officers arrived and noted a strong odour of alcoholic beverage on the man's breath. He failed a roadside screening test and was transported to the police station, where further testing confirmed he had more than the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
A 58-year-old Guelph man is charged with impaired operation.
