Investigation of break and enter leads to charges

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On April 13, 2018 the County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a break and enter to a residence on Chalmers Street, Village of Elora.

Investigation revealed that the home had been broken into on April 11, 2018 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The suspect stole cash and cheque books.

A suspect was identified through the investigation and has been charged.

57-year-old David Pyke of Guelph-Eramosa has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 18, 2018 to answer to the charge.
