Tough weather day for the city
Wintery weather extremes affected everyone who had to get anywhere yesterday and had police responding to a number of related incidents for public safety.
Collisions took quite a bit longer to clear, some roads were closed at times, vehicles were disabled in the snow or unable to move on the icy roads and there were even dangerous conditions reported for people who just trying to walk to where they needed to.
The fortunate part of these weather-related situations was that no one required transportation to the Guelph General Hospital for medical attention.
More snow is forecasted over the weekend, so please be patient and safe when you are out and about.
