K-9 unit tracks suspected impaired driver following collision

On Sept. 22, 2018 at approximately 12:09 a.m., Guelph Police were called to the area of Silvercreek Parkway South and Waterloo Avenue in regard to possible impaired driver.

A vehicle had hit another vehicle and then the driver of the responsible vehicle fled the area on foot. K-9 Charger was deployed and successfully located the male on Beechwood Avenue.

Radoslav Turalija, a 30-year-old Mississauga male, was charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to provide a breath sample and possession of controlled substance, which is believed to be cocaine. 

Turalija is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 2, 2018.
