Knife pulled on roommate during dispute, say police

A Guelph man faces two weapons charges after allegedly brandishing a knife during a dispute with his roommate on Wednesday morning.

Police were called to a residence in the area of Gordon Street and Kortright Road East shortly after 11 a.m. According to a news release, investigation revealed two male roommates were arguing when one picked up a kitchen knife and pointed it at the other while walking toward him.

Another roommate managed to disarm the suspect. No physical injuries were reported.

A 30-year-old Guelph man is charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.
