A 46-year-old Guelph male was pronounced deceased at the scene. We will not be releasing his name at this time out of respect for the family as other family members have yet to be notified.
Laird Road was reopened late last night when members of the Guelph Police Traffic Reconstruction Team, Guelph Police Forensic Identification Unit, Criminal Investigative Bureau, Uniform Patrol and representatives from the City of Guelph Environmental Protection Office cleared the scene.
The total damage to the five vehicles, building, and environmental clean-up was substantial.
