A Guelph female already facing a long list of charges for repeatedly breaking into laundry rooms at a downtown apartment building now faces more charges related to a different building.

The owner of the second downtown apartment building contacted Guelph Police Wednesday after seeing media reports about the earlier arrest related to seven laundry room break-ins.

Officers reviewed video surveillance which confirmed the same female was responsible for break-ins at the second building as well. One occurred in February and the other three happened within the last week. Each incident involved prying open doors to access the building and prying open the machines, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

A 37-year-old Guelph female now faces a total of 11 counts of break and enter, 10 counts of possessing break-in instruments, five counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of breaching probation and a single count of failing to comply with an undertaking.

She was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
