On May 15 video equipment at a Guelph LCBO location recorded a male that entered the store, selected bottles of alcohol from a display and then left the store without paying. Police were called and given the video. It didn’t take long to identify the male who also was on court conditions not to be in the LCBO.
On the afternoon of May 16, the male was located on Wyndham Street and arrested for the theft. He was also found to be in possession of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine.
The 25-year-old Guelph man was charged with theft, two counts of breach of probation, breach of undertaking and possession of a controlled substance and was held in custody to appear in bail court today.
