In October of 2018, the Guelph Police Fraud Unit began an investigation into identity and credit card thefts. As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Hands Drive on Dec. 13, 2018.
After the search warrant was conducted, a 28-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with two counts of identity fraud, two counts of unauthorized use of credit card data, theft under $5,000, and two counts of breaching a probation.
The male is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 14, 2018.
