Major Crime Unit investigates threat in Rockwood

Police say a resident came home on Joliffe Avenue and found they were 'the focus of a threat'

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA - On Dec. 6, 2019, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a threat against a resident on Jolliffe Avenue in the Town of Rockwood.

A resident had returned home to find they were the focus of a threat against them. Currently Wellington County Major Crime investigators and Forensic Identification units are examining the source of these threats.

Police believe this is an isolated incident and are asking for the public assistance in identifying a suspect in these events. If you were in the area Jolliffe Avenue on the day of Dec. 6, 2019 and saw anything suspicious, police would like to hear from you.

Wellington County OPP are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.csgw.tips. You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
