Male charged with impaired driving in Wellington

On Sunday March 17, 2019 at approximately 1:25 a.m. a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of grey sedan on Dublin Street in Mount Forest for Highway Traffic Act infraction.

While speaking with the male driver the officer determined that he had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device (ASD) test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

Michael Campbell, 26-years-old of Wellington North Township, has been charged with Impaired Operation - 80 Plus contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

 A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment were initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 16, 2019 to answer to his charge.
