Man accused of ramming cop cars now faces drug charges

On Sept. 21, 2017 a Kitchener man rammed multiple police vehicles in Guelph as he evaded police and avoided arrest. That man was apprehended the next day at his home in Kitchener and was charged with a number of offences.

Further investigation has learned that the total cost of the damage to the four police vehicles was over $5,600 and an additional charge of mischief over $5,000 was pending.

On the afternoon of Oct. 11, the accused male was found as a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by police in Guelph and he was arrested. The male and the female driver were found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana.

Twenty-eight-year-olds Kyle Harris and Danielle Prestipino from Kitchener were charged with two counts of drug possession and later released to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 21, 2017.
