A collision Tuesday afternoon led to a criminal obstruction charge for a Guelph man.

Police said they were called approximately 2:10 p.m. to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Arrow Road. The owner of one of the vehicles was on scene but denied he was driving and implicated another man.

Subsequent investigation revealed the owner had been in the driver’s seat. An 18-year-old Guelph man is charged with obstructing police, driving without insurance, driving with unauthorized licence plates and several other Highway Traffic Act offences.
