Man believed to be responsible for multiple robberies arrested by Guelph Police

The male is now facing two counts of Robbery and one count of Theft under in relation to the crimes committed in Guelph.  Further charges are pending in various other jurisdictions

On the 6th of December, 2019 at approximately 4:30 p.m. a lone male suspect entered a Bank in the south end of Guelph and passed the teller a note demanding all the money.  

The clerk complied and a quantity of cash was turned over to the male suspect before he fled the area in a Silver vehicle.  

Investigation revealed the male is responsible for a number of similar robberies in southwestern Ontario including another one in Guelph that occurred on September 16, 2019.

As a result of collaboration with various other police agencies, the identity of the responsible male was learned to be a 38-year-old Waterdown male. On Dec. 7, 2019 the male suspect was placed under arrest by members of the Guelph Police Service and warrants were executed on his residence and vehicles.  

The male is now facing two counts of Robbery and one count of Theft under in relation to the crimes committed in Guelph.  Further charges are pending in various other jurisdictions.
