NEWS RELEASE

GUELPH POLICE SERVICE

************************
On Oct. 6, 2017 at approximately 9:46 a.m., Guelph police received a complaint from an individual who stated he purchased a television from the “back of a truck” for $100. When he brought the package home, there was no television inside. The complainant did not provide a description of the vehicle or individual who sold the television.

This is the second incident of this nature that has been reported to police in the last few days. Guelph Police would like to warn anyone, if you come across someone selling items from the back of a truck and those items have prices that are too good to be true, you may want to think twice before engaging in a transaction.
