A woman walking with her baby was among the victims attacked by a stranger on Tuesday morning. She was sprayed by a then-unknown substance that was later determined to be body spray, say police.

That incident happened at about 10:15 a.m. in the area of Kortright Road East and Dimson Avenue.

A man in the area was also sprayed with the same substance before his attacker picked up a rake and struck him with it.

Neither victim was physically injured, police say.

A 25-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance.
