Man charged with breaking into a vending machine

WELLINGTON - On Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft from a laundromat on Elgin Street South, Mount Forest.

On Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 at approximately 8:30 p.m. a vending machine was been broken into, $200 in cash was stolen and the machine sustained approximately $300 worth of damages. Video surveillance allowed OPP to identify the suspect.

35-year-old Joseph Daniel Stafford of no fixed address was charged for Theft Under $5,000, Mischief Under $5,000 and for Failing to Comply with Probation Orders contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 8, 2017.
